Over the Tavern starts this week at the Hipp
Starting this Wednesday, the Hippodrome Theatre will be performing “Over the Tavern.”
This coming-of-age comedy by Tom Dudzick is set to bring audiences back to the 1950s and into the lives of Ed Sullivan and the Pazinski family. As 12-year-old Rudy prepares for his confirmation, he starts to question his family’s values and the Roman Catholic Church. But when wise-cracking Rudy decides to go head to head with the ruler- cracking Sister Clarissa by telling her he’d prefer a more “fun” religion, all hell breaks loose and the laughter begins.
“Over the Tavern” is directed by Lauren Caldwell, and produced by Mary Hausch. The play will run until March 18.
This Wednesday and Thursday, catch the play for a special preview discount price.
