LOTD: Back in Black

We spotted Shelby Connors at the opening night of Gainesville Fashion Week. A little black dress was perfect for such an event. Shelby shows us how to stand out among all the colorful outfits and art show. We love the combination of the ladylike shape with the see-through lace cover. Sexy, but still elegant. The lace takes fashion’s most flattering hue from safe to exciting.

If you don’t want to look too mature in a black-lace overlay dress, mix fun accessories with it. One pair of hand-made earrings and a feather necklace cancel out the formalness and bring in something causal and adorable.

Shelby admires Steve Madden’s heels, but she certainly did not overpay for these low-cut booties. Twenty-five dollars for a pair of designer shoes is hard to beat.
