A new year means a new list of the most interesting people in Gainesville. Check out some of the city's most notable citizens.

It’s our fifth year nominating some of the most inspiring and fascinating citizens of our fair city. We found 20 people (plus 5 more to celebrate) who had overcome challenges to follow—and achieve—their dreams, whether they had been entrepreneurs-in-training since grade school or finally found their calling in their 40s. With the New Year, we’re lucky to learn from so many diverse success stories. We think it’s no coincidence that more than a few nominees advised us to just say “yes.” We promise that if you do, adventure awaits.
