South Beach's Super Bowl

South Beach's Super Bowl South Beach was the place to be in Miami for football fans in the days leading up to the Super Bowl.

In addition to concerts, there were plenty of activities for fans. One of the most trafficked and anticipated pre Super Bowl events is the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam. The beachfront festival kicked off Thursday with acts by Justin Bieber, Timbaland, and Rihanna. The day featured special appearances by Keri Wilson and Jojo, and a rather interesting (or perhaps the word is "art-deco") outfit worn by Ms. Rihanna.

The crowds did not dwindle for Friday's Pepsi Musica Super Bowl Fan Jam, a latin-infused version of the previous day's festivities featuring Paulina Rubio, Pitbull and Nelly Furtado. Friday saw a more subdued-than-usual act from Paulina, the crowd wilding out for Pitbull, popular radio hits by Nelly Furtado and plenty of rain.

We stuck around on Sunday to see what the city had in store for us on the actual Super Bowl day. Ocean drive spilled over with people, balloons, vendors and a sea of team-friendly colors. From Hare Krishnas in the streets to Cuban cigar vendors, Sunday was a perfect demonstration of the melting pot of cultures, which is South Beach.
