The Gators rebounded from Friday’s loss with a win over Arkansas on Saturday, even though in the 3rd inning a foul ball rocked into the Gators’ dugout and hit pitcher Kevin Chapman in the head. He collapsed on the ground a few tense moments, but at the end of the game, coach Kevin O’Sullivan said Chapman was fine. In the 4th inning, Arkansas made a pitching change and the Gators’ bat came alive with six runs. The Gators won 8 – 2.

The last game of the series was delayed because of rain on Sunday. When the Gators finally took the field, they knew they needed to win. The game was scoreless until Florida’s Preston Tucker hit a home run in the 4th inning, giving the Gators a one-run lead. Arkansas answered with a run in the 8th inning to tie the game. During the bottom of the 9th, Gator Mike Zunino hit a single with two men on and drove Cody Dent in for the winning run. The Gators won 2 – 1 and took the series.
