Spotted: Celebrity Gator Fans

Jacksonville native and notorious Gator-fan Ashley Greene has been spotted out and about wearing her Orange and Blue pride on her sleeve. Here are some other famous University of Florida grads, Florida residents and just plain devoted fans who show their support for Gator Nation.

Erin Andrews
Before she danced with the stars, Erin Andrews was a UF Dazzler. Andrews is most known for her gig as an ESPN reporter, but she continues to support her Alma matter by returning for events like ESPN’s TitleTown U.S.A. (Photo by Jim Burgess)

A.J. Pierzynski
Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski, who went to high school in Orlando, is a Gator football season ticket holder. He also collects UF memorabilia, such as an autographed helmet from quarterback Tim Tebow and head coach Urban Meyer.

John Travolta
Ocala resident and Swamp neighbor John Travolta visited Lake Wauburg in August 2009 and posed for pictures with students. At the Wild Hogs premiere in Ocala, cameras caught Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston doing the Gator chomp.

Sister Hazel
During their college days in Gainesville, these Gators formed the band Sister Hazel. As avid fans, they show their support through Twitter. During March Madness, the band tweeted, “COME ON GATORS!!!” Guitarist Drew Copeland even has a Gator guitar signed by Billy Donovan and Urban Meyer. (Photo by John Davisson)

Mandy Moore
In a 2004 interview with ESPN, the singer, actress and Orlando native said her parents are huge Gator fans and that she grew up attending many games in the Swamp.
