A plague has taken humanity by storm, converting those infected into vampires. Before long, very few humans remain, with many being harvested for their blood. The vampires have complete control over the world, thinking that nothing can stop them. As top scientists race the clock to find a blood substitute, a small group of outcasts find an extraordinary cure to vampirism. Can they convince a world of immortals to take the cure?

Jackie Chan stars as Bob Ho, an undercover CIA Spy who wants nothing more than to give up his life of espionage to settle down with his girlfriend, Gillian. To make it work, Bob has to win over Gillian's distrusting children. Bob soon gets his chance to prove his worth when Gillian has to go out of town, leaving Bob in charge. Unfortunately, one of the children accidentally tips off Bob's arch nemesis about his location, and before long, the neighborhood turns into a battlefield, forcing Bob to square off against his dangerous foe, while making sure the children don't miss their bedtime.

Riding the fast track to success, John Crowley has everything one could ask for: a loving wife, beautiful children and a high-paying job. He befriends scientist Robert Stonehill and begins the seemingly impossible task of finding the cure his children need. Just as the solution is in front of them, the relationship between the two men takes a turn for the worse, with his children's lives hanging in the balance.

Thomas Craven (Gibson) is a homicide detective whose only love is his daughter, twenty-four year-old Emma. Thomas's world is torn asunder when Emma is brutally murdered on the steps outside his home. With his sanity on the edge, Thomas embarks on a mission to find his daughter's killer, which plunges him into a corrupt world of corporate corruption, government cover-ups, murder and greed. As he begins to discover more details about his daughter's secret life, Thomas slowly descends into a black world that he might never return from. With a strong plot, clever writing staff, and, of course, Gibson, Edge of Darkness could be the first big film of 2010.
