Taylor Swift’s 'Fearless'

Taylor Swift in Orlando, Gainesville Entertainment Taylor Swift kicked off her 2010 Fearless tour in Florida. We caught the show at the Arnway Areana in Orlando Sunday night. Openers Gloriana and Kellie Pickler played nice sets with some production in front of a curtain, which hid Taylor’s stage. When the curtain dropped, Taylor entered the stage in a bandleaders outfit with cheerleader dancers for “You Belong With Me.” At the end of the song, the bandleader outfit ripped away to reveal a glittering dress.

Backed by huge video screens that wrapped around the drumriser and stairs to an upper level of the stage, Taylor was able to recreate scenes from her songs, like mini-operas. A ramp extended into the audience so she could get closer to her fans and soak up their enthusiastic adulation.

Orlando’s show was sold out as are the other shows on the tour. Just two years ago she played the Hard Rock Live, a much smaller venue (sold out); amazing how she’s blown-up in the past couple years. She seems to be just what music fans need right now: great music, big show and a winning attitude. Hopefully she’ll return to Florida later this year.
