Motion City Soundtrack is a pop-punk outfit from Minneapolis, Minnesota currently touring in support of its latest record, My Dinosaur Life. The band has been a fixture on the punk scene since the early 2000s when they broke through with its song "Everything is Alright." We caught up with guitar player Joshua Cain for a special Bonzai interview about the band's new record, loneliness and the best cure for athlete's foot.

Our new record is awesome because it has great songs on it.

Breaking my arm sucked the most when it was a moment when I possibly couldn't play on the record. (This question was actually for the drummer)

The weirdest thing about shooting our new video was having to learn how to dance.

Right when I get off stage I like to sit down for a couple minutes and decompress. I usually end up staring at a wall. It's very weird.

I get really lonely when I'm away on the road from my family and loved ones and my very pregnant wife.

The exciting thing that happened to me today was we rehearsed our first Nine Inch Nails song that we're doing for this Hoodwink Festival which is a part of The Bamboozle Festival.

The last time I cried was when I saw "Up," in the first ten minutes.

If I was married to Beyonce I would I dunno. I'm kinda speechless with that one.
I would steal all her money. Yeah I dunno.

My favorite sitcom of all time is I gotta say Seinfeld.

I change my socks every chance I get, usually couple times a day sometimes. I play a lot of shows and your feet get wet and then you get athletes foot. It's no fun.

The best cure for athlete's foot is Tough Actin’ Tinactin.

When people come to our show they should enjoy themselves. Have a good time.

You should stop chasing a girl when she tells you she doesn't want to date you. I think that's pretty clear. You should not be stalking people.

The right time to tell a girl you like her is I think the moment’s gotta be right. You gotta feel it out on your own. I usually let them tell me.

Yeah me too I fear rejection.

I'm lucky you know I found the right person and got married. I've been with her for fourteen years.

I envy you.

The meanest thing I've ever done is when I was in junior high me and some other guys chased a kid around the locker room slapping him with our towels.

I am most vulnerable when I guess I'm more vulnerable when I'm out there on the road because there's no where for me to hide necessarily, you know? There's nowhere to be invisible. It's the loneliest job you could ever have being around people.

The lamest thing about touring is being away from home.

If I was in The Strokes I would be skinny and wearing leather jackets?

The best part of giving interviews is when the interview is over.
