Slightly Stoopid, Cypress Hill and their “Legalize It” tour rolled through the Hard Rock Live in Orlando last weekend. The tour's theme? Legalizing “it,” an infamous illegal plant and drug.

In addition to the standard concert merch tables, there were activists from NORML and similar organizations handing out pro-pot information.
Some of the stage banter revolved around the possibility of legalization in California during the upcoming elections. The artists were preaching to the converted, however. I’m not sure how much they helped the cause, but it was an excuse to tour together. The show was sold out.
Collie Buddz sang first, and his island patois fit the theme. He got the crowd worked up with some reggae-derived music. Cypress Hill was next, and they clearly embraced the message with props that fit the theme and lyrics that embraced the lifestyle.
Slightly Stoopid’s set was more about the jams though, with Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty switching instruments frequently for extended workouts within their rhythms. B Real and Sen Dog from Cypress Hill joined them for the encore.
If you missed Slightly Stoopid on the “Legalize It” tour though, fear not. They will be playing this Saturday at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park less than an hour north of here in Live Oak as part of the Blackwater Music Festival.
