For a mellow evening filled with delicious American and Mediterranean fare followed by hookah, Farah’s on the Avenue is an ideal spot for socializing with friends. They also have some pretty great food and drink specials, if you haven’t heard.
Always a good time, Grog House offers dancing and nightly drink specials ranging from free beer to Beat the Clock Fridays, for which pitchers start at $.25 and increase every 15 minutes. Happy hour deals don’t get much better than Saturdays, with free beer from 9 to 12pm.
Saturday :08 Seconds transformed into a mosh pit of paint and hundreds of people, but with less violence and more laughter. Containers of paint splattered across walls, floors and smiling faces as house music thumped in the background. A couple of young women tried painting our photographer with big, wet hugs. Others thought it would be amusing to paint our camera, though. Not so funny.
Friday night, we were able to attend Rue Bar's "CEO & Office Hoes" party. (What? We didn't come up with the name.) Though everyone didn't dress according to the theme, a lot did. See for yourself:
