Saturday :08 Seconds transformed into a mosh pit of paint and hundreds of people, but with less violence and more laughter. Containers of paint splattered across walls, floors and smiling faces as house music thumped in the background. A couple of young women tried painting our photographer with big, wet hugs. Others thought it would be amusing to paint our camera, though. Not so funny.

Several Saturdays a year, one of Gainesville's student living hotspots transforms into a student-only party venue. With free beer, pizza and frozen yogurt, coupled with the sounds of favorite DJs, it's no wonder students head to The Estates Pool Parties with little more than sunglasses, a tan and a smile. These parties combine the best of student life with the most beautiful Florida weather -- a great place to see and be seen.
