The Burger King off Northwest 39th Avenue may be six miles away from the University of Florida campus, but it’s right on top of the local spirit. Entering the restaurant, you see Gator memorabilia, like the plush bright-green alligators and shiny mini footballs seated on the shelf. “Sometimes we have Georgia fans stop by and say, ‘We’re definitely in Gainesville now!’” says D’Arcy Paulin, the manager. “That stirs up some interesting conversations.” We got to try some of the new summer menu items—found at all six local locations—that are definitely worth a try.
