By Molly Bruce, Photos by Sarah Hsu Fast Facts Stiff competition and an abundance of ever-hungry college students could make it hard for franchises to compete, but owner Freddie Wehbe’s eight Gator Domino’s have surpassed the competition. Fresh Picks If you’re not in the mood for a sandwich, try the Bread Bowl Pastas ($6-$8), which are available sans bread bowl, too. And for dessert, try the new Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes (two for $4) because the gooey milk-chocolate inside and crunchy shell outside make the perfect mouth-watering combination. Ordering Made Easy If you choose to pick up your pie, new Domino’s stores have monitors detailing the location of your order and the time left until you can take it home. The delivery should be a pleasant process, too, since Mark says “People who work at Domino’s have a positive attitude.” More Than Expected What’s another reason patrons continue to choose Domino’s? “We go to a lot of charity events,” Tony says. Gator Domino’s supports numerous causes in Gainesville, including March of Dimes and LifeSouth. Domino’s also makes sure there are plenty of coupons and specials to choose from by distributing door hangers and coupons with deliveries. “We reach out to a lot of the students,” Mark says.
