BREAKFAST ’ROUND THE CLOCK You don’t have to be an early bird to catch this breakfast worm; Jeff’s Deli schleps breakfast any time. Try their All-American breakfast ($6) for a bite of every basic breakfast item you could want. Have your eggs cooked any way you like, and choose between bacon, sausage or ham; toast, bagel or biscuit; and Home fries or grits. Not big on the meat? Order it meatless and the price is even cheaper ($4.75). All of their bread is baked the morning it’s served, guaranteeing it’s super fresh.
DELI DÉCOR You don’t have to travel all the way to New York City to experience a deli with some spunk. Sit in comfy cherry red vinyl booths with gold embossments, and gaze at framed newspapers celebrating Gator victories and passerby on University Avenue. Spacious and understated, with fast service and an amiable staff, Jeff’s Deli will win over your heart as well as your stomach.
MAN VS. FOOD Are you a food fanatic? Well, Jeff's has an eating challenge for you. Come in and take on the 5-pound Monte Cristo ($25), made of turkey, ham, Swiss and honey mustard on Challah bread that’s been dipped in French toast batter and deep-fried. If you can tackle the entire thing, you receive a trophy, your $25 back and your photo on the wall. Don’t want to take on the challenge? Try the regular Monte Cristo for just $8.
LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES Jeff’s Deli is open until 3am Thursday through Saturday to keep you coming back for more. The most popular late-night treat, Billy says, is the Philly Cheese steak ($8), a thinly sliced sirloin steak, peppers, onions and cheese all mixed together, heated up and melting hot.
DELIGHTFUL DINNERS Stop by anytime and dig-in to one of their five dinner specials that rotate each week. Their Greedy for Meaty Lasagna ($8) will satisfy any appetite. Chow down on lasagna with lots of ground beef, topped with melted mozzarella cheese and a large helping of side salad and garlic bread. Looking for something a little more health-conscious? Try the Chicken Caesar Salad ($7).
