The Dave Matthews Band played at the 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre last night, chasing away the rain for a hot evening under the stars. After an opening set by Gov’t Mule, Dave came on (shortly after 8pm) and played for well over two hours.

Andrew “Codeman” Stewart’s specialty is spinning a mix of hip-hop and house music. Even though Codeman has only been in Gainesville three years, he has made his presence known on the club scene. You can catch him at Ruebar on a Friday night or tune into 101.3FM during the week. Come out to see “DJ Codeman make the beat drop!”

The annual punk rock summer camp known as the Vans Warped Tour thrashed through Florida this past weekend, and, as usual, I was there photographing in Orlando’s Central Florida Fairgrounds from 11:30am until 6:30pm, for a total of 16 bands captured. Some were interesting; others weren’t, but either way, there was plenty window-shopping to be had.
